Specialists in spinal ailments

The professionals who make up the Advanced Spine Institute (Instituto Avanzado de Columna, IAC) take a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis, treatment and recovery of spinal diseases.

Our extensive surgical and research experience mean that we always place the patient at the centre of the treatment.

In addition to technological aspects, we work on the development of pioneering tools for patient care. We design individualised procedures adapted to the needs of each patient with the greatest possible guarantees of success, applying evidence-based medicine.

We have introduced innovative techniques that reduced hospital stays from 6 days to 2.

The IAC was one of the first spine units in Spain to innovate through using different techniques in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral fractures and one of the first centres in Spain to perform minimally invasive surgery.

We are pioneers in the treatment of elderly patients, with treatments similar to those for young patients, without prejudice or premature diagnoses. For the IAC, age is not a determining factor.
